MIXED teams of four battled it out for Florida scramble honours at The Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern Wells.
The well-attended competition in autumn conditions produced good scoring.
Roger and Jill Brierly and Peter and Ursula Pearson won with 62.9 nett having managed a gross total of 69.
Second were Chris and Vivienne Price, Alan Smith and Joyce Duncan with 66.7 ahead of Paul and Diane Meakin and Charles and Isabel Carmichael with 67.7.
The next mixed event is a better-ball on Sunday, November 3. In the ladies' three-ball alliance another strong turnout resulted in a close win on countback.
Penny Stevenson, Diane Keates and Jackie Marks edged out Joan Haworth, Isabel Carmichael and Sue Wood with both on 38 points.
In third place were Davina Taylor, Joan Herbert and Cathy Harris with 37.
