MALVERN Buzzards claimed a victory at the Joust 24-hour relay race at Holt Heath's Top Barn Farm.

The team captained by Jack Abbotts won the six to eight-person team with 39 laps of 5.62 miles each and set a new course record of 224 miles.

The group led by Andy Dingley were fourth with 26 loops of 149 miles.

Lynda Broadway was the veteran women's champion and 24th overall with 14 for 78 miles in 23 hours 13 minutes.

Megan James was fourth woman overall with 14 for 78 miles in 20.03.38.

Adam Dyson completed 15 loops for 18th, Mike Anstey 14 for 23rd and Chris Notley 11 for 39th.

Abbotts was joined by Sim Foreman, Paul Dolphin, Tom Hall, Mark Alston, Adam Wilson, Matt Downes and Sam Burnage.

Dingley's team also included Ali Webb, Kate Dolphin, Lily Price, Glen Curran, Ellie Bullman, Gaynor Watts and Dominique Kent.

Julie Caseley did the Credenhill Canter 10k in 1.03.38 in the heat to finish first woman under 70.

Sarah Armstrong was first woman at the Beat the Bore race and fourth overall in 1.01.44.
