UPTON Town and Welland are set for new adventures as they kick off their Midland Football League Division Three campaigns this weekend.
Both clubs have been accepted into the league after successful interviews and passing a ground grading inspection at The Hill Centre.
Welland, who were formed in 2011, finished fourth in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League last season with James Lush scoring 31 goals.
They ground-share with Upton who have risen to their highest level since being reformed in 2005.
Town came second in Cheltenham League Division One last term.
Manager Simon Craddock said: “I’m feeling excited to play in such a well-formed league with the potential to progress.
“We believe we will hold our own and challenge for points on a weekly basis.”
Upton begin the new season on Saturday with a home clash against Shipston Excelsior while Welland visit Coventry Plumbing (both 3pm).
The two sides will then go head-to-head at The Hill Centre on Wednesday (6.15pm).
