RESURGENT Evie Richards made it two consecutive podium finishes in UCI Mountain Bike World Cup cross-country races with second place in France.
She finished 30 seconds behind overall leader Germany’s Ronja Eibl in the women’s under 23s race.
Malvern's Richards, 22, climbed from seventh to fifth in the table.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medallist was second in Vallnord, Andorra, for her first podium of 2019 and replicated her success in Les Gets in one hour 14 minutes 24 seconds, 1.13 ahead of Laura Stigger.
Richards, who was fourth in the Under 23 Mountain Bike World Cup in 2018, is 34 points behind American Haley Batten in the final medal position.
The next cup event is in Val di Sole, Italy, on August 3 and 4.
Richards first looks to defend her national under 23 jersey in Cannock.
