MALVERN Joggers held their annual evening 10k in Castlemorton and Welland.

More than 200 competitors braved wet conditions over the undulating course.

Many of the Joggers were on marshalling duties but there was a strong turnout from local clubs Malvern Buzzards and Ledbury and District Harriers among others.

Gloucester AC's James Denne won the race in 36 minutes 36 seconds ahead of Chris Grubb in 39.18 and Evesham's Marcus Mumford in 39.43.

Buzzards' Chris Dowle finished fifth in 41.22 and James Davies was the first Joggers member home in 43.28.

Gemma Collier, of Glos AC, was the first woman in 43.52.

Joggers' Ben Toon ran 46.14, Neil Warne 47.57, Mark Witt 52.39, Mark Hartland 52.43, Andy Gallagher 54.02, John Pickering 54.44, Jonathon Gray 57.07, Jim Wheatstone 57.41, Sian Maxwell 58.33, Amie Lockley 59.29, Chris and Rachel Reed 1.00.21, Barbara Gawlak 1.02.07, Jonathon Fligelstone 1.03.40, Simon Gallagher 1.07.22 and Lance Tombs 1.27.50.

Joggers also competed in the Worcester Community Trust 5km over two laps on fields at Royal Grammar School Worcester The Grange.

Alvin Milner clocked 25.31 and Maliecha Mckelvie 26.00 for first woman over 45.

Chris Reed ran 25.45, Jamie Francis 26.14, Warwick Taylor 26.41, Suzie Lane 27.27, Rachel Reed 28.01, Pat Johnson 30.51 (first FV55), Tracey Taylor 32.42, Tommy Baker 34.27, Emily Seyler 35.50, Emma White 36.02, Jane Spicer 36.22, Mark Spicer 37.27, Janet Baker 40.13, Andrew Johnson 41.10, Ian Rocke 41.27 and Laura Williams 42.42.

The Two Castles 10k race went from Warwick to Kenilworth with Claire Haynes doing 46.12 and Elizabeth Bell 1.09.41.

The Broadway Tower charity race over five miles of countryside was finished by Joggers' Annelle Bolton in 50.22, Francis in 49.14, Pat Johnson in 56.42, Milner in 44.30, Alison Priest in 52.55 and Laura Williams in 1.24.23.

For Buzzards, Paul Childs finished second and was first senior male in 33.35 and Julie Caseley did 49.49.

At the Orpington High Elms 10k, Joggers' Gray finished in 56.01.

Buzzards did the Summer Brockhampton Dirt Run with the junior 2.5km completed by Oliver Dyson in 15.13.

In the senior 5km category, Alice Dyson ran 31.57 for third woman and Adam Dyson conquered the senior 10km in 50.37.

Alison Owens ran a personal best in the Jersey half marathon of 1.32.38 to finish first female in the 40 to 49 year category.

At the Sharpness 16-mile race, Adam Dyson won in 1.56.

The Malvern Midsummer Marathon, organised by the Long Distance Walkers Association, started from Wyche Primary School.

Tough conditions made the course more challenging as Andy Dingley and Alison Webb finished the 26-mile version in 5.58.00 and Clive Maddock did the 14 alternative carrying a 20kg pack.

The Man v Horse Marathon over 22 miles of challenging terrain in Powys, Wales, was completed by Caseley in 4.30.15.

The Bumble Bimble 10-mile race was won by first woman Sarah Armstrong who was second overall in 1.24.90 while Ellie Bullman clocked 2.00.

Ledbury Harriers' Kate Elkington ran the Severn Valley 10k trail run in 55.20 to finish first woman 50 and over and 36th overall.
