MALVERN Buzzards’ Sarah Armstrong completed a hat-trick of wins at Worcester Athletic Club’s Bulmers Bash.

The eighth running of the 10-kilometre event saw more than 100 runners take part including competitors from Birmingham, Chichester and Croydon on a hilly, challenging course.

Armstrong was the first woman home in 45 minutes 16 seconds for a personal best and her third win over the years.

Buzzards also achieved three age category wins for Sarah Kellet F35 48.58, Simeon Foreman M40 40.18 and Christian Dowle M50 40.03.

Steve Beldon clocked 40.53, Daniel Kelly 45.37, Paul White 46.08, Jasper Trevelyan 47.09, Martin Reed-Darby 48.44, Dave Woodward 48.48, Kevin Hart, 50.43, Clive Maddock 54.26, Neil Griffith 56.46, Julie Caseley 56.47, Ian Dyson 57.04, Wesley Ogden 58.37, Peter Wilson one hour 10 seconds, Alice Dyson 1.00.44, Sophie Barnes 1.00.52, Mike Anstey 1.01.49) Emma Foreman 1.04.10, Nicola Turrell 1.07.06, Scott Mitchell 1.07.21, Jennie Bond 1.07.25, Lynda Broadway 1.09.21 and Sarah Lane 1.09.21.

Buzzards’ Megan James and Chris Smallman finished the gruelling, five-day Dragons Back race from north to south Wales over 315 kilometres with 15,000 metres of ascent.

James did 69 hours one minute 38 seconds and Smallman 58.55.11.

Caseley was second woman over 55 in 1.28.39 at the Crocodile Eight.

She was first woman over 55 at the Cleeve Cloud Cuckoo over 5.5 miles in 54.39.

Matt Downes was third overall at the Sea to Summit trail half marathon in Llanfairfechan in 1.43.41.
