CHRIS Loveridge won Malvern Anglers’ Fitzwater Cup at Hartleton pool.
The weather turned wet and windy for the match which was restricted to float only with old fashioned rod and line tackle but enjoyed by all with plenty of fish caught.
Loveridge showed his proficiency at rod and line fishing with a waggler float and maggot bait for a net of small roach and skimmer bream of 11lb 12oz.
At the other end of the pool, Ian Goddard used similar tactics to catch a similar selection of fish with 11-9 just ahead of Martin Elston on the next peg with 10-14.
Lee Harman managed 9-9, Nigel Bayliss 8-3, Mick Perks 7-11, Clive Harman 5-15, Gary Kennett 4-4, Ken Yates 3-11 and John Shaw 2-11.
