HANLEY Swan won an entertaining clash 4-3 at fellow Cheltenham League Division One high-fliers Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves.

Blake Bishop and Cathal McTernan caused the Service defence problems while the midfield trio of Jackson McMullen, Ben Peplow and Josh Hughes worked well together.

Hanley took the lead with a long-range effort from Bishop flying into the top corner.

Service equalised just before half-time when they were awarded a soft penalty.

Minutes after the restart McTernan latched onto a pass from Chris Bunn and rounded the keeper to regain the lead.

A cross by McTernan looked to be going into the keeper's arms but Ben Peplow cut in front of him and headed the ball in.

Service pulled a goal back when the ball was bundled in following a corner.

But Hanley eventually went 4-2 up following a good run by Bishop who passed across goal for Ribeiro to slot home.

With minutes to go a Service cross was headed into his own goal by McTernan but Hanley held on for a well-deserved victory.

Fourth-placed Hanley's final game of the season is at Kings on Saturday, April 27 (2.30pm).

Upton Town went up to second with a 5-1 win at Andoversford thanks to Oliver Kendall (2), Zaqib Hussain, Kristian Richardson and Noah Martin.

Welland beat visitors Cam Bulldogs 2-1 in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One with David Lawrence and Omar Elmougy on target.
