A DROITWICH ace won double gold at the Amateur Judo Association’s Closed National Championships.
Two Droitwich Spa Judo Kan members headed to Kingsbury Leisure Centre near Tamworth.
Megan Skillern won gold in the over 65kg section and also claimed victory in her first women’s open grade espoirs contests.
Lauren Hall, in her first national judo event, impressed to bag bronze in the under 28kgs category.
Skillern has qualified for the AJA national squad trip to Mierlo, Holland, in May.
Meanwhile, Droitwich’s Kazoku-Kan members also claimed medals at the national event.
There was silver for Dylan Moore in the boys’ under 22kg category.
Bronzes were picked up by girls Nina Wojtasik (under 28kg) and Felicity Warburton (over 65kg).
There were boys’ bronzes for Matthew Kenny (under 28kg), Kuba Wojtasik (under 45kg), and Liam Jones (under 60kg).
