LEDBURY Town will be hoping that last season's HFA Charity Bowl's final defeat is behind them when they face Holme Lacy at Allpay Park for the trophy later this season.

Lacy finished their semi-final clash with 10 men in the final 30 minutes but held on to a 3-1 victory against Kingstone Rovers.

Stuart Mills put the finalists ahead after 25 minutes when he raced past the final defender before taking the ball around the charging goalkeeper and firing home.

Jean Luc Alvarez squeezed home a second for his side shortly before the hour and then got sent off moments later for a second yellow card offence.

The red card spurred Kingstone on and Nick Panniers gave the visitors more hope by firing a goal back.

However, substitute Dale Bowkett drilled his strike home from the edge of the box with five minutes remaining to secure Holme Lacy's place in the final.

In the other semi-final Ledbury had to come from a goal down to beat league leaders Wellington Reserves 2-1 and set up their second final in as many years.

Welly looked to be heading on their way to Allpay Park when Will Burley put them ahead in the first half.

However, a brace from man of the match Harri John secured a memorable comeback for Ledbury and a cup final spot.

Matt Davies netted a brace as Fownhope kept their hopes of a Herefordshire Premier top three finish alive with a 5-2 victory over Tenbury Town with Elliot Jones and George Laysham James also finding the net along with an own goal.

Ewyas Harold made it back-to-back away wins with a 4-2 victory at Tenbury United with Luke Price scoring two while Rory Worthing and Ryan Bounds netted one each.
