HANLEY Swan continued their fine run with a comfortable 5-1 home win over Kings in Cheltenham League Division One.

They went a goal up in the first minute when a mix-up between a defender and keeper saw Kevin Moore slot into an empty net.

Hanley played passing football with Cathal McTernan, Blake Bishop, Josh Hughes and Ash Robinson all doing well.

Kings had chances but good work by home keeper Dan Rawlings and defenders Tom Ward, Chris Aston and Mark Amott kept the lead intact.

Midway through the half a Chris Bunn free-kick found Moore who was brought down in the box and Ash Bloore converted the resulting penalty for a 2-0 interval lead.

Hanley started the second half strongly with Bloore breaking to score from a tight angle.

Kings pulled one back minutes later but Hanley then forced some good saves from their keeper.

A good cross from McTernan found Bishop who hit the post but Bloore buried the rebound to complete his hat-trick.

McTernan and Bishop again combined to set up Aston who completed the scoring from close range.

Mid-table Hanley's next game is at leaders Andoversford on Saturday, January 26 (2pm).

George Brand, Matthew Hindmarsh and Zaqib Hussain scored in second-placed Upton Town's 3-1 home win over Shurdington Rovers.

Welland lost 1-0 at Harrow Hill in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One. They host Leonard Stanley on Saturday (2pm).
