ALEXANDER Park were presented with their trophy for winning the Three Counties Seniors League.

Team captain Peter Rouse along with members Don Filer, Tim Hollingsworth, Terry Thomas, Alan Shakesheff and Jim Bland attended the event at Sherdons.

The seniors played the latest round of the winter singles league with wins for Richard Stevens, George Cozens, Mike Pearce, Maurice Embrey, Shakesheff and Steve Norwood.

There were halves for Ray Saunders, Rouse, Bland and Clive Neild.

A triple six-team contest was won by Saunders, Roy Caffull, Brian Goode and Embrey with 123 points.

Keith Smith, Cozens, Mike Mann and Carl Tasker were second with 118.

Third were Peter Butler, Tom Boswell, Brennan Standell and Andrew Sutton with 109.

A team medal competition went to Geoff Foster, Caffull, Nield and Des Samuel with 126 points.

Gregory Brunt, Filer, Paul Gosling and Tasker followed on 128 with Ray Ingram, Goode, Tom Boswell and Stevens third on 132.

In a single stableford, Boswell (24 handicap) triumphed with 39 points from Ingram (18) on 36 and Cozens (19) on 35.
