MALVERN Radar’s poor cup form continued with a 3-2 loss at Evesham League side Dragons.

Although Dragons were outplayed for large parts of the game, they ran out winners by the odd goal in five in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Minor Cup first round

Radar started well and should have been awarded a penalty when Keiran Smith swept past the home defence only to be upended in the area but the referee waved play on.

But the visitors received a slice of luck when minutes later Andy Nolan’s inswinging corner evaded everyone and crept inside the far upright.

However, a long ball from the home keeper was not dealt with and a looping header deceived the advancing Ryan Williams to restore the balance at 1-1.

The second half saw Radar dominate possession and a win looked assured when Nolan netted his second after fine passing and interplay.

But with just 10 minutes left Radar pressed the self-destruct button, conceding two late goals which eliminated them from the competition.
