MALVERN Radar enjoyed a comfortable 4-1 win over Grosvenor Sports in McDonald's Worcester and District League Sunday Division Three.
After a shaky opening 10 minutes Radar took the lead with their first real attack when Jake Norris’ tantalising cross was diverted into the net for an own goal.
Minutes later Keiran Smith was on hand to slot the ball past keeper Daniel Allen to double the lead.
Smith was upended in the penalty area as Grosvenor struggled to deal with his pace and direct running.
But Ryan Scullion’s spot-kick rebounded off the upright and out to safety.
However, any respite for the visitors was shortlived as Adam Buckley’s free-kick evaded everyone and nestled inside the left-hand upright.
The second half saw the visitors start well and Darren Palmer’s speculative shot from 20 yards deceived keeper Ryan Williams to pull a goal back.
But with virtually the last kick of the game Smith grabbed his second goal when he ran from his own half and outpaced a flat-footed defence to beat the stranded Allen.
