RUNNERS from Malvern Joggers were covered head to toe in mud after tackled a woodland challenge.

Relish Running Races’ Eastnor Castle Mud Bath saw competitors run through man-made trenches, troughs and mud pits.

Bradley Crouch was the first Malvern Jogger home in one hour and 41 seconds for 17th place.

A team comprising of Paul Newman, Ian Fuller, Roger Sherriff, Deb White, Jim Wheatstone, Laura Peakman, Warwick Taylor, Tom Baker and Jason Protheroe was joined by Sharon White and Lisa Waring in the team spirit.

They enjoyed a more relaxed run for fun approach finishing the 10k event in 1.33.41.

Julie Caseley completed in The Sheepwalks Shocker 10k near Stourbridge in 57.20.

Meanwhile, Malvern Buzzards ace Ellie Bullman finished the Bournemouth Marathon in 4.31.00.

Gillian Lynes was the third female home in the solo category of the 33-mile Black Country Ultra in 6.31.00.

Mark Heptinstall crossed the line in 1.28.45 in the Cardiff Half Marathon while Julie Mitchell (1.45.00), Eric Gough (1.34.00) and James Gillson (2.06.00) did the Oxford Half Marathon.
