EIGHT new Ledbury and District Amateur Swimming Club members enjoyed success in their first club championships.

Halo’s Ledbury Swimming Pool at Lawnside hosted the action.

Head coach and Team GB ironman Kylie Mansfield along with his deputy Chris Treanor congratulated newcomers to the junior and senior squads for their achievements.

Seniors Jacob and Isobel Geller gained four medals between them.

Jacob won a bronze for his performance in the 100-metre freestyle while sister Isobel won silver in the 50m butterfly and 200m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m freestyle.

New junior members Jasmine Merriman and Josephine Smyth both achieved personal bests in the 25m freestyle.

Rose Tanner Gray and Joseph Gilbert did likewise in the 100m freestyle as did Ellen Ratcliffe in the 200m breaststroke.

Edward Smith won bronze in the novice race and achieved PBs in the 200m breaststroke and 100m freestyle.

This was the latest one of five galas Ledbury run throughout the year to give all their swimmers the opportunity to compete.
