LEDBURY Cricket Club held on for a 12-point losing draw at bottom-of-the-table Knighton-on-Teme in Marches League Division Two.
John Griffiths scored 101 in the hosts’ 231-8 from 45 overs before Ledbury scraped a draw on 208-9 through Steve Evans (5 not out) and Paul Allen (4no).
Dan Gale top scored with 54 and opener Matthew Ehrlich added 39 as Jack Brain took 3-30 and Matthew James 3-55.
Neil Andrews, Gale, Evans and Harry Eales all took two wickets for fourth-from-bottom Ledbury in Knighton’s innings with James’ 43 supporting Griffiths’ century.
Ledbury seconds lost by six wickets at home to their Goodrich counterparts in Division Three.
The short-handed hosts were restricted to 209-8 with skipper Chris Ritchie (44) top scoring and Nye Morgan taking 3-42.
Opener Jon Pickering set off well in reply with 72 before Jack Waldis (36), Luke Bedford (32no) and Matt Young (14no) led Goodrich to victory inside 41 overs.
Ledbury firsts visit Colwall thirds on Saturday while the seconds entertain Ross-on-Wye.
