THE endurance of Malvern Triathlon Club was tested as members competed in long, middle and sprint distance events.
Andrew Rickard and Jim Hancox competed alongside 2,200 others in the Staffordshire half-ironman event, requiring a 1.5-kilometre swim, 56-mile bike leg and 13.1-mile run.
Stephen Clarke undertook the same distance but smaller Cotswold Classic event.
Clarke surpassed himself shaving 47 minutes off his delivery time of last year with five hours 33 minutes.
Rickard completed in 6.13.58 and Hancox in 6.31.30.
Maria Dineen entered the 9.5km Jubilee River Swim in Berkshire, completing in 2.54.
Then seven club members entered Malvern’s own 10km hilly race, among them Louise Seeney for her first experience of the distance.
Lucy Bennett-Poole and Janet Adsett did the Forest of Dean Wild Boar triathlon.
Bennett-Poole, taking the longer distance 1.5km swim, 60km hilly ride and 20km run, finished second in her age group and third woman overall.
Adsett delivered 1.30.53 in the sprint event for third in her age group.
