THREE Malvern Joggers runners braved the rain, mud and a broken arm at the Winter Wychavon Way 40-mile ultra event.

Lynda Broadway, Mike Anstey and Steve Massey started in Droitwich and travlled through Flyford Flavell, Church Lench, Wyre Piddle, Pershore, Bredon Hill and Broadway.

Anstey, nursing a broken arm, and Broadway finished in 11 hours 21 minutes 37 seconds while Massey clocked 11.57.08.

Eleven Joggers took part in the Hereford Winter 10k on mainly tarmac walkways and roads over a mostly flat, scenic course with a few hills.

The race was the first 10-kilometre challenge for Lisa Wardle and Julia Forsyth.

Alison Merley was 16th in 48.40 ahead of Graham Bird 1.03.03, Helen Card 1.03.30, Lynn Forrester Walker 1.05.30, Forsyth 1.07.36, Teresa Gilbert 1.07.41, Sue Lewis 1.08.23, Wardle 1.08.23, Jodie Moffat 1.12.42, Ian Whitlock 1.12.43 and Laura Sadler 1.12.43.

Chris Smallman, Sarah Lane and Megz Judge did the tough Wyre Wizard Trail Half Marathon.

Smallman finished in 18th place in 1.58.27 and Judge was 21st in 1.59.59 while Lane clocked 3.00.44.

At Worcester Parkrun, Ian Walwyn was celebrating his 250th run and Debbie Parker and Viv Tolley their 150th.
