DESPITE unfavourable weather conditions, the 19 pairs competing in the Manor Park Centenary Charity Ladies Doubles Tournament played with enthusiasm and determination and the matches were closely contested in each group.
Winners were: Red group, Jan Robinson and Vicki Hartwright; blue group, Sarah Kitching and Amanda Barrell; orange group, Sue Bullock and Christine Snell; green group, Susan Malone and Gillian Garland.
After the tennis, participants enjoyed an excellent lunch provided by Anna Paisley and Nicky Perrins and proceeds from the event will go to St Richard's Hospice.
