BLUSTERY winds and heavy showers saw a small field of five riders turn out for VC Sevale’s club time trial on the Severn Stoke course.
A strong headwind on the outbound leg tested resolve but gave welcome assistance on the return.
Mike Amery recorded the fastest time of the evening with 24 minutes 12 seconds.
Will Davies was second in 24.50 and Nick Stinton third in 26.05.
Other Sevale members’ times: J Gwilliam 27.07 and J Sewell 33.19.
Next Thursday is the club’s hilly event over British Camp and Hollybush, meeting at Welland by the village hall. Racing starts at 7pm with signing-on from 6.30pm until 6.50pm.
