POWICK Reserves captured the Worcester and District League Sunday Division Four crown with a 2-2 draw at Brewers Athletic.
The villagers had lost 3-1 in the Bernard Finnegan Cup final only days earlier to the same opposition.
Stuart Harvey and Dale Humphries were on target for Powick with Ben Price and Jamie Heason replying for third-placed Brewers.
Meanwhile, Leigh and Bransford Badgers finished bottom of Division Five in their debut season.
They ended with a 6-3 defeat at mid-table Westside Wanderers after defensive errors cost them.
Badgers went ahead on 18 minutes through the determined Nick Medakovic after Mark Stubbs’ shot was parried.
The joy was shortlived as Wanderers quickly went 2-1 ahead only for centre-half Jacob Hooper to level with a dipping 18-yarder.
However, a defensive mixup saw Badgers go in behind at half-time and they were 5-2 down after only 10 minutes of the second period.
Badgers should have scored more but conceded a sixth before veteran Stubbs struck from 30 yards.
They previously lost 3-1 at GDL Athletic Reserves in mid-week after Stubbs put them ahead from the penalty spot.
