MALVERN’S Grove Primary School hosts a football and general sports tournament on Friday, June 14.
The event runs from 2pm until 4pm in Pickersleigh Grove and involves 10 teams from local primary schools.
Coaching sessions will be put on alongside the games to promote different sports, such as archery. The event, co-ordinated by Grove’s Oliver Roberts, will be a noncompetitive drive to get children involved in sport.
Young leaders from The Chase School will help with coaching and mentoring the year six children in how to referee. There will be a fair play trophy awarded on the day and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Grove Primary School.
