MALVERN Joggers’ members contested the challenging Malvern Hills Ultra 52-mile challenge.
The endurance test, with a total ascent of more than 8,000 feet, headed from Holt Castle to Malvern Hills Hotel before going back. Malvern’s Simeon Foreman and Chris Lewis Farleigh led the G-String Quartet team to victory.
They were closely followed by Joggers’ Megz Judge, Debbie Russell, Jo Brett, Libby Lawrence Fielden and Scott Hawkins.
They impressed considering one of the team picked up an injury and had to pull out.
The third team home was Paul Newman’s The Lost Boys. The Seymore Butts, led by Lynda Broadway and organiser Neil Humpage, were fourth.
Joggers’ final team finished fifth. Malvern’s Rob Smith competed on his own to finish 49th in 13 hours 42 minutes.
