THIRTEEN riders met in Hanley Swan for Velo Club Sevale’s opening race of the season.
It was the first time in memory a time trial had been held with snow still visible on the Malvern Hills behind.
Despite a bitterly cold easterly wind, Worcester St John’s member Jason Milner was the fastest rider in 13 minutes 36 seconds, pipping Sevale’s Brian Boswell by just three seconds.
Guest rider Chris Forecast was third in 13.54.
They compete next Thursday at Chance Lane at 7pm with signing-on from 6.30pm.
Guests are welcome and more details are available at sevale.co.uk
