A MAN is in a "serious but stable" condition after being shot in the leg in Oldbury.
The man was rushed to hospital, with injuries not believed to be life threatening, following the shooting on Badsey Road earlier this morning (August 1).
Badsey Road is closed while officers and forensic investigators carry out searches of the area and several bus routes have also been diverted due to the closure.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’re currently at the scene of an incident that happened in Badsey Road, Oldbury earlier this morning.
"A man has been shot in the leg and taken to hospital. He’s in a serious but stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
"The road is closed so that forensic investigators and officers can carry out a search of the area.
"Buses are currently diverted. Routes 3, 3A and 20 are affected."
