TRANSPORT police are working to establish the circumstances behind the death of a person on the tracks at Blakedown.
Officers and ambulance crews were called to Blakedown Station at 10.15am on Friday, July 31.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Churchill and Blakedown station at 10.15am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to identify the person and establish the full circumstances behind their death."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by British Transport Police to the railway in Blakedown, Kidderminster at 10.15am.
"We sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.”
The railway line between Kidderminster and Birmingham was blocked for several hours while emergency services were at the scene.
