MORE play areas in the city have been allowed to re-open after months as coronavirus lockdown rules are eased.
The government said council-owned play areas could re-open from July 4 as part of a raft of changes to lockdown measures including the reopening of museums, galleries and cinemas as well as pubs, restaurants and hotels.
Worcester City Council said play areas in Waverley Street in Diglis, The Green Centre in Dines Green and St Dunstan's Close in Battenhall could all now re-open on Monday (July 13) after checks were carried out.
The council is checking each play area is safe before gradually re-opening every site in line with government guidance.
