FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a lamp post on fire in Redditch last night.
A crew from Redditch fire station was called to Caynham Close on Monday nignt (June 29) following reports of a fire in a lighting pole.
The blaze was believed to be already extinguished, following the report at 10.15pm.
The electrics were isolated and engineers from Western Power were called out.
A spokesman from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Redditch was called out at 22.15 last night (29 June) to a fire in a lighting pole in Caynham Close Redditch, believed to be extinguished.
"The crew awaited the arrival of Western Power and the electrics were isolated. The incident was closed at 23:04.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services involved."
