PUBS across Worcester and the surrounding areas are gearing up to reopen this weekend – and so we asked you which watering hole you were most looking forward to visiting when the pumps starting pouring forth again.

Worcester News readers were quick to come up with their suggestions as they look forward to their first pint, glass of wine or G&T, albeit in socially distanced surroundings.

And even though the easing of restrictions comes with new guidelines requiring watering holes to collect the name and contact details of everyone who enters, it's not putting people off – presumably it's one more reason to go to your local; they already know who you are.

The Arch Rivals is only a couple of years old but further afield, Nick Bawden's choice of pub has been around for a little longer – The Old Chestnut Inn in Lower Moor, near Pershore, dates back to the 16th century.
