THE city's planning committee has voted to change the rules on late papers.

But planning committee chairman Chris Mitchell explained at the latest virtual meeting, held last Thursday, members had found it difficult to digest information, particularly if technical in nature.

Committee members voted unanimously to have the deadline brought forward, so representatives now have to be made three days before a meeting, and circulated to members in a late paper two days before it is held.
