HAUS Installations, providing windows, doors, conservatories, guttering and roofing products, is a family run business based in Worcester.

We spoke to Tom Whitby from the firm about how they are dealing with the current coronavirus crisis, as well as the unique dynamic of a family business.

He said: “As far as the current situation goes, we are not installing at the moment, but are still taking on orders. We are just waiting for the right time to continue with minimal risk to our team, and customers.

"We are working on building safe working systems, starting with external work and giving staff the correct PPE.”

Haus Installations draws on the combined expertise of several generations, bringing together many years of expertise in the industry.

Mr Whitby said: “Our team came together having worked in the industry before for competitors, and believed that we could do it better for ourselves.

"There were several things we thought we could improve on like customer service and quality of products. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.

"The main aspects of the company’s work are UPVC windows, fascias, soffits and guttering replacement, and insulated conservatory roofs, making a real change to the look and feel of people’s homes.

Mr Whitby added: “The quality, as well as the different styles and ranges we offer are massive and we always aim to do a good quality job.

“We get excellent feedback and reviews online, which is great as it shows us that we are doing something right. Our main hotspots for work are Worcester of course, but we will go pretty much anywhere in the west Midlands.

"There was a street in Malvern, for instance, where we worked on 49 out of the 50 houses on that road.”

Haus Installations is active in the community too, having sponsored the Peaky Blinders boxing tournaments in the Worcester Guild Hall. The tournaments have raised thousands for good causes, proving popular with audiences in the city. For more about Haus Installations and their services, go to www.hausinstallations.com/
