WORCESTER MP Robin Walker has welcomed the announcement that over £13 billion of NHS debt will be scrapped as part of a wider package of NHS reforms.

The government says the changes will provide much needed financial support during the Covid-19 pandemic and support the NHS long term.

Mr Walker said: "This step will put the NHS in a stronger position to be able to respond to this pandemic, and it will ensure that our NHS has foundations for the future too.

"It is welcome news that the Government is providing the NHS with whatever it needs to tackle coronavirus."
