A WOMAN has been found dead at a house in Oldbury.
Police were called to a house on Douglas Road on Thursday morning (April 2) where they found the body of an 82-year-old woman.
A second woman, aged 76-years-old, was also in the house and was taken to hospital for further treatment after receiving emergency care at the scene by medics.
West Midlands Police say the 82-year-old woman's death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called by the police to a residential property on Douglas Road, Oldbury at 3.28pm. An ambulance, paramedic officer and HART paramedics were sent to the scene. Sadly one woman was confirmed deceased. A second woman was given emergency treatment on scene before being taken to hospital for further care."
A force spokesperson said: "We were called to Douglas Road in the Smethwick area of Sandwell at around 11am yesterday (Thursday 2 April), where the body of an 81-year-old woman was found at a house.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
"A 76-year-old woman who was also in the house has been taken to hospital."
