REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has penned an passionate letter to the praising hero care workers in Worcestershire amidst the coronavirus crisis.

The MP said its "difficult to put into words the admiration and respect we all have" for NHS Trust workers" through these challenging times in a letter to Chief Executive Matthew Hopkins.

She said: "The coronavirus has changed life in this country as we know it and we're facing unprecedented challenges.

"I have always has the highest respect and admiration for anyone who works in healthcare. Every single day they save lives, nurse people back to full health and perform life-saving and life-changing operations.

"It's little wonder why millions of people stood on their doorsteps last week to clap for our carers.

"Already your staff at the Alexandra Hospital, Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Kidderminster Hospital are on the front-line of tackling this invisible enemy.

"Over the next weeks and months your staff will face pressures which will be unimaginable to those of us who do not work in the NHS.

"With this in mind, and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all my constituents, I'd like to thank every singly member of staff working for your Trust for everything they're doing to save lives.

"From doctors to nurses, from healthcare assistants to porters, from administrative staff to cleaners - they are all heroes - every single one of them - and it is difficult to put into words the admiration and respect we all have for them."
