A MAN has died after being found in a critical condition in Cookley this morning.
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford landed in the village shortly before midday after a man suffered a "medical emergency" in Austcliffe Road.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.07am to reports of a medical emergency in Austcliffe Road, Cookley.
"We sent the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, two land ambulances, a paramedic officer and BASICS Trauma doctor to the scene.
"On arrival we found one patient, a man, in a critical condition.
"Crews quickly worked to administer advanced life support on scene.
"Sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
