BRIGHTHOUSE which has a branch in Worcester city centre, has reportedly gone into administration.
The chain, the biggest rent-to-own operator in the UK, is understood to have appointed administrations to salvage parts of the business, according to the national media.
BrightHouse has 240 branches, including the Broad Street shop.

Customers make monthly payments for household appliances in effect renting them and paying interest, until they have paid in full.
Customers are being told they need to continue making monthly payments, with the money being collected by administrators that is understood to be Grant Thornton.
The firm recently closed all its stores after the government's advise that only essential work could remain open, as part of the Covid-19 rules.
The company's website was still active on Monday afternoon but contained no statement in regards to going into administration.
