Nozstock festival organisers say they still hope to go ahead this summer, but the coronavirus situation is being "monitored closely".

In a statement a spokesman said: "We know everyone is worried about coronavirus, but in the spirit of bringing good news at a tough time, we’re happy to say that Nozstock will be going ahead from July 23 to July 26.

"We have been working round the clock beavering away in HQ over the past week or so, talking to everyone involved, and taking advice. We are optimistic that predictions are realistic, and so are forging on with our plans to bring you the best party of the summer, and a much needed get-together, at the end of July. "

Nozstock2020 sits outside of the 12 week social distancing period currently being discussed in the UK, which should end during June.

But the spokesman added: "However, if we are forced to cancel, all ticket holders can exchange their 2020 ticket to the 2021 edition of Nozstock The Hidden Valley, or apply for a refund.

"As we’ve all learned lately, a lot can change in a few days. We are monitoring the situation closely. If you have any queries please do message us via socials or get in touch via info@nozstock.com".

The spokesman added: "Finally, a big thanks to everyone for your continued support, to those who have bought tickets and continue to do so. You make Nozstock what it is and we’re really excited to be bringing you a very special festival this year, with some of the best talent we can rustle up.

"Big love to all Nozstockers far and wide, we look forward to partying with you on the farm, this July."
