In 1982 Denis Norton - the owner of The Norton Museum in Bromsgrove - made our pages as he fought for the future of his collection.
Mr Norton had spent 30 years building up the Norton Collection which he displayed at Davenal House in Birmingham Road.
But in 1982 it was facing closure. He had hoped to gift it to Bromsgrove District Council, but the council declined the offer.
The museum did close, but eventually, 10 years after these photos were taken the collection was passed to the council and it remains on display to visitors at The Norton Collection Museum in Birmingham Road.
