PEOPLE have been bargain hunting at the special markets in Ludlow to boost seasonal sales.

It is a case of two down and one to go for the special Tinsel Tuesday Christmas markets in the town.

The idea that has become a regular feature of Ludlow town centre at this time of the year is to give people the chance to buy a unique locally made gift or some of the fine food and drink from the area.

Tinsel Tuesdays are a joint initiative between the Ludlow Town Council, the Ludlow Chamber of Trade and the people that trade on the market.

The Tinsel Tuesdays have also been supported by Shropshire Council.

Ludlow has a large selection of independent traders selling a wide range of food, drink and other items.

The hope is that the increased number of people who come into town for the Tinsel Tuesday markets will spend money in the shops, pubs and restaurants in the town centre. This year the final special market will take place on Tuesday, December 17, a week before Christmas Eve.
