Worcester4life said: "What absolute rubbish, go and have a drive to Birmingham and surrounding areas and see the levels of deprivation."

Argue with facts said: "Worcester has a population of 100,000ish, Birmingham has 1.1 million so the areas of deprivation are bound to be bigger. I grew up in Birmingham and its a sorry state looking around at some areas but the bad areas are no worse than Worcester's."

factcheckWR said: "Time to sit back and think before going on your next crusade. Families in Dines Green have got poorer because of Tory policies. This means they have less to spend in their local shops. The best way to get the shops back is to actually support Richard Udall and Labour with their policies to tackle poverty and social deprivation."

Bogit and Scarper said: "I am not surprised the gap between the rich and poor in Worcester is continuously increasing. Wages here are less than bigger cities but the end product is the same price. I fear for the future if things with Brexit go wrong. This is only going to get worse."

BrianPotter said: “Education and opportunities are better now. If it is wanted and the pupil has the right mind-set and attitude. The NHS is wonderful when needed - it is just abused by some causing issues to all others. The data shows it is certain areas of Worcester. Relying on welfare doesn’t help the situation, it just breeds it for future generations. The solution is to create properly paid jobs of all skill levels, and encourage those who can work but who are happy to rely on benefits to work.”
