A "COSY" ale and cider house in Kidderminster has been named CAMRA's Pub of the Season for autumn 2019.

Members of the Wyre Forest Campaign For Real Ale branch were impressed by the extensive list of beers and ciders available at The Weavers at Park Lane and voted it their pub for autumn.

Branch chairman Nick Yarwood said: "Overlooking the canal, the terrace of The Weavers at Park Lane is a great location to enjoy a beer or cider during the warm days and evenings of autumn.

"When the nights draw in, there are two cosy rooms in which to savour some of the five beers and six ciders available from the bar on hand pull, all chosen by landlord Jeff Ide.

"The pub is popular with locals and visitors alike, seeking out more unusual beers and ciders. For all these reasons, members of Wyre Forest CAMRA voted it as their pub of the autumn 2019.”

Martin Trickey, barman at The Weavers at Park Lane, said: "This is our 4th CAMRA award and I think members were impressed by our hospitality and fine selection of ever-changing real ales and hand-pulled ciders.

"When people come in here, particularly those who haven't visited before, they get the first impression of a proper traditional pub.

"You can get a good pint of beer or a glass of cider here and we now have more than 21 different flavoured gins, which is quite a selling point.

"It's very much a traditional pub but we listen to our customers' feedback."
