A 46-year-old woman is to appear in court charged with fraud after it is alleged she falsely claimed her car was stolen to claim on her insurance.
Lorna Gallagher of The Avenue, Welland, Malvern is due to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday).
She is accused of fraud by false representation after it is alleged she dishonestly made a false representation by informing Liverpool Insurance Company that her vehicle had been stolen, intending to make a gain of £2,500 for herself on August 12, 2017.
Gallagher is also accused of committing an act or series of acts intending to pervert the course of public justice on August 8, 2017.
This involves an allegation that she lied on an MG11 statement about the car being stolen.
