AFTER England’s successes reaching the final of the Rugby World Cup this year, Worcestershire is also celebrating the continued success of its homegrown stars.

Georgia Hussey is a founding member of the Wolverines, a women’s team at Woodrush Rugby Club, near Wythall.

Speaking about her home county, Georgia said: “I love Worcestershire as it provides me with the best of both worlds. I have beautiful open countryside on my doorstep, as well as the UK’s second biggest city just a 20 minute bus ride away.

“Woodrush Rugby Club has always been a second home for me, with my stepdad and uncle playing for the men’s team since they were teenagers. I had no intention of missing out on the action so got involved with the Wolverines.

“I am hoping England’s fantastic success in Japan Rugby World Cup will inspire more players in Worcestershire to get out on the field.”

Georgia is featured on billboards across the country as part of the #MoreInWorcestershire Campaign, including Paddington and Euston Stations in London, the Bullring Shopping Centre, New Street Station in Birmingham and Birmingham International Airport.
