Worcestershire County Council say Hylton Road, Worcester will be closed tonight to remove flood defences.

The road will be closed from 6.30pm, for three hours.

The closure will allow Severn Trent water pumps, used as part of the Environmental Agency's flood defences, to be removed.

The defences were used after River Severn reached its highest point since February 2014 last week.

Worcs Highways and Travel tweeted: "Local diversions will be in operation during the closure later today."
