Local choir the Alcester Singers are holding their annual Young Musicians competition next month.
The competition is open to musicians aged between 11 and 18 who live or attend school within 10 miles of Alcester and are of Grade 5 standard or above.
There is a prize of £200 for the winner and the opportunity to perform at the choir’s summer concert in July alongside Alcester Singers and other Young Musician competition winners.
The competition will be held at St Nicholas Primary school in Alcester on Friday, November 22, at 7pm and entries should be made by November 15.

During the evening there will be a performance by last year’s winner, pianist Jessica Madden.
