HIGH Street retailer Bonmarché has gone into administration.
The Press Association reports that the over-50s fashion retailer, that has a store in Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester and in Evesham High Street, has collapsed with administrators appointed.

It is understood the firm has 316 stores nationally, and 2,900 jobs are at risk.
But The Telegraph reports there will be no redundancies at this stage, and all stores will stay open while the search for a buyer to save the firm gets underway.

The retailer is the latest big name casualty in a tough year for struggling High Street stores, that has seen the likes of Debenhams, House of Fraser, Maplin and Poundworld collapse.
