IT was heartbreaking to read of the tragic condition suffered by young Jamie Cockeram, whose skin condition means he is in near-constant pain.
It is impossible to even begin to imagine what it must be like for Jamie and his family to have to go through what they do on a daily basis.
What is even more incredible is that Jamie still has a cheeky smile and great sense of humour, even while suffering the way he does.
Family and friends of Jamie are taking on the Worcester 10k run on September 15 to raise money for Debra, the charity supporting people with the skin condition (Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa).
Saying that this is a worthy cause would be an understatement.
Any money which could go towards possibly finding a cure, or even a way of making life easier to manage for people suffering this condition is vital, and we should all support the family and friends taking part in the run.
