A ROUNDERS tournament took place yesterday in memory of a 17 year old who died after a seizure.
Family members of Caitlin Sharp organised the fun day and rounders tournament at Malvern Cricket Club, raising money for Epilepsy Society, who supported the event.
Caitlin’s mum Michelle Doe said: “The charity rounders day is such a lovely event to be organised in honour of Cait, she loved playing rounders and I very much appreciate the efforts of all those involved.”
Caitlin, from Great Malvern, and described as ‘bubbly and outgoing’ died on June 26 after suffering a major epileptic seizure.
The day was organised by family members Leah Smith and Jade Smith, with Welland Ladies Football Club.
Leah said: “It went really well. We have got a big bucket full of money to go and count.”
“There was an ambassador from Epilepsy Society called Mya Hawkesford-Barnes who helped out handing out some raffle tickets. We had a brilliant turnout, around 300-400 people.”
Visitors also enjoyed a raffle, BBQ, ice cream van, egg toss, cake stall and face painting.
