THE annual Big Apple celebration of apple culture in the Marcle Ridge area is marking its 30th anniversary this autumn.
Nine venues in and around Much Marcle will be involved to honour all things apple, on October 12 and the following day.
Spokesperson, Jackie Denman said: “Each of the venues in and around Much Marcle allows you to learn, taste and enjoy! As part of our anniversary celebrations we have two talks at Hellens on October 13. In the first talk local fruitgrower, Norman Stanier, looks back into the records from Woolhope Naturalists’ Field Club and the legacy they provide. In the second, Prof. Paul Hadley talks about his research looking at the impact of climate change on future UK apple production.”
She added: Delicious apple-related lunches and teas are available at many of the venues.”
